Caramel Apple Pie

Caramel Apple Pie:
5-6 apples pealed and sliced, 1/2 C.of flour, ½ Cup brown sugar, 4 large shakes of cinnamon, 1 bottle .4oz smucker’s sundae syrup “caramel”, mix together in large mixing bowl add ½ bottle of caramel. Pour into uncooked pie-crust then add 3 tablespoons butter on top of apples, use a crumb top instead of a crust top. Bake 350* for an hour after pie, cools add a little more caramel.

Pie-crust:
2 C. flour, 1 C. Butter Crisco, ½ C. Ice Cold water, 1 tsp. black walnut flavoring, ½ tsp salt. First mix together water and flavoring, than mix everything set in the fridge for 1-2 hours, roll out should make two pies. (but I like my crust thick so I only get one pie out of this much dough) Turn pie pan upside down and cut crust 1 to 1 ½ inches bigger than top of pie pan. Place crust in pan, make it look even than take the extra length of crust and fold it under so you can make a nice edge. Brush crust with milk or melted butter before adding mixture.

Crumb topping: stir together ½ cup flour and ½ cup packed brown sugar cut 3 tablespoons of butter into mix until resembles coarse crumbs sprinkle on top of pie.

P.s. For a Salted Caramel Apple pie add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of salt to caramel and apples, and use Granny smith apples.
