Sausage Potato Soup
Sausage Potato Soup
10 to 13 Red potatoes (you do not have to peal) dice into small cubes
1 pound of regular breakfast sausage
1 large onion chopped
¼ or 1/3 cup diced green onion
¼ or 1/3 cup diced green onion
1 gallon or 1/2 gallon of whole milk or fat free
½ tsp of salt and pepper
and no more than that because you add more to your bowl.
In a large pot fry together sausage, onion, salt, and pepper, than add diced red potatoes.
Pour in milk, cover with milk ¼ to ½ inch above the potatoes and sausage
Cook on medium heat until the potatoes are cooked all the way through. Be careful the milk can burn easily so stir often and lower temp if need be. 5 Minutes before your serve soup add in green onion.
Each person can add butter, salt, and pepper to each bowl if they want. Make homemade dinner rolls to dip into your soup.
